About our practice

Holden Family Care exists for one simple reason: people in Holden deserve a place where they’re known by name, not by a number. We’re a family medicine practice: we care for children, adults, and older adults—often in the same family—and we stay with you as your needs change.

Who we are

Ours is a small-team setting: the same familiar faces, a chart that reflects your real life, and straight talk when we don’t have every answer yet. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone; we’re here to be the practice families trust for honest, thorough primary care, year after year.

How we think about your care

You should understand why we’re ordering a test, what “wait and see” means, and when to call back. If you’d like a family member in the room, say so. If you need a moment, you get one.

In a small community, that kind of trust is not optional—it’s the point. We’re not here to rush you out the door; we’re here to help you leave with a plan you can follow.

What to expect when you come in

First visits run longer so we can get your history and medications right. Return visits follow what you need that day. You should always leave knowing the plan, what you can do at home, and when to get help sooner.

  1. Bring medications (or a list) and known allergies.

  2. We’ll start with the concern that brought you in, then cover prevention and other issues as time allows.

  3. Before you go, you’ll know the next step: recheck, lab, referral, or when to call if things change.
